At Neural Effects, our Memory Clinic provides specialized care for individuals experiencing memory loss, cognitive decline, or other changes associated with dementia.
Whether you’re noticing early signs of dementia, already have a diagnosis, or simply need guidance, our team is here to help.

Why a “Memory Clinic”?
A Neural Effects Memory Clinic is an outpatient clinic focused on taking an active role in the care and well-being of individuals living with cognitive decline and their caregivers through timely diagnosis, effective intervention, and meaningful support.
We do more than diagnose you and hand you a brochure or a referral to a busy neurologist. Our team provides guidance, support, education, and care coordination. We work with your doctor and guide you to neurologists and other specialists who will see you as an individual and support whole-person care focused of optimizing your quality of life.
We never want anyone to navigate life with dementia alone.
Memory Consultation
At Neural Effects, we officer expert consultations to evaluate memory concerns, develop personalized care plant, and coordinate next steps. Consultations are available to anyone who needs answers or support for their memory concerns.
A consultation allows us to determine if neuropsychological evaluation, imaging, laboratory testing, or specialized therapies are appropriate for your case.
Diagnosing Cognitive Change
The process of diagnosing cognitive impairment and dementia is not the same for every individual. At Neural Effects, our primary tool in diagnosis is a neuropsychological evaluation.
Our clinic specializes in neuropsychological testing for patients with suspected dementia. Focusing our attention on this specific group of cognitive disorders streamlines our process and allows us to get patients in for testing much faster than most other practices.
We believe that those facing cognitive decline are entitled to prompt diagnosis and care planning and have made it our mission to provide it.
Other tools for diagnosis may include:
- MRI
- Laboratory Testing

Cognitive Care Planning
Cognitive care planning is a vital part of supporting individuals experiencing cognitive decline or dementia. At Neural Effects, we help patients and their families create personalized care plans that address both current needs and future challenges. This process includes identifying medical, emotional, and social support needs; coordinating care across providers, and connecting patients with appropriate therapies and community resources.
Cognitive care planning empowers families to better understand the condition and make informed decisions about safety, daily routines, legal and financial planning, and long-term care.
A cognitive care plan is created and provided as appropriate following neuropsychological evaluation at Neural Effects.
Ongoing Monitoring
Over time changes in cognitive function require changes in care and create new opportunities for support. Our program strives to monitor the dynamic needs of our patient’s and their caregivers.
Through Chronic Care Management (CCM) and Cognitive Care Planning (CCP), Neural Effects provides structured, ongoing support that helps patients and caregivers navigate changes as they occur. Chronic Care Management allows our care team to stay connected between visits, coordinate services, monitor emerging concerns, and help ensure care plans remain responsive to each patient’s evolving needs. Repeat Cognitive Care Planning supports patients and families through education, goal-setting, safety planning, caregiver guidance, and connection to appropriate resources. Together, these services help transform cognitive change from an isolated challenge into a supported, proactive care journey.

Caregiver Education & Training
Caregiver education and training is a key part of the Neural Effects program, designed to help families feel more prepared, confident, and supported as they care for a loved one experiencing cognitive change. This service provides practical guidance on understanding cognitive and behavioral symptoms, supporting daily routines, improving communication, promoting safety, managing care needs, and helping caregivers carry out the patient’s individualized care plan. By equipping caregivers with education, strategies, and ongoing support, we aim to reduce uncertainty, strengthen the care partnership, and improve quality of life for both patients and the people who care for them.
Cognitive Stimulation Therapy
Developed more than two decades ago by researchers at the University College London, Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) is a internationally recognized dementia intervention proven to be more effective than medication in slowing cognitive decline and improving quality of life for individuals with dementia.
Using a specially developed curriculum focused on low-pressure socialization, stimulation, reality orientation, reminiscense, creativity, and more, Cognitive Stimulation Therapy increases confidence, social engagement, environmental awareness, and mood in participants within just a few sessions.
Neural Effects began offering Cognitive Stimulation Therapy in 2022 and it quickly became a robust and beloved part of our program.
In 2026, Neural Effects turned the CST program over to our sister clinic Cognitive FX so that this special program could continue to thrive and serve even more wonderful participants.

Community Partners
Managing health, cognitive, and caregiving challenges can leave patients and their families with very little time or energy to sort through the many services, programs, and options available through the healthcare system and the community.
At Neural Effects, our team is continually looking for ways to connect the individuals we serve with resources that support their care, independence, safety, and quality of life. This may include referrals to community support programs, caregiver education, respite services, transportation assistance, nutrition resources, counseling and support groups, cognitive and social engagement opportunities, home safety resources, long-term care planning services, and other local or healthcare-based programs that meet each family’s unique needs.
By helping patients and caregivers identify and access the right resources, we aim to reduce overwhelm, strengthen support systems, and make it easier for families to navigate the next steps in care.
No one needs to face cognitive decline alone. Neural Effects is on your side.
